My experience at the Winter Arts Festival this year was pretty good, considering I missed it last year. The first performance was "I See Fire", which I liked because it was a contemporary piece. What I liked most about it was the middle part that we repeated over and over again. I also enjoyed coreographing our own duets/trios. What I didn't like was that there were over 40 students on stage. What I liked about the salsa dance was that there were only 6 students on the stage, which made it feel like I was dancing, unlike shuffling around in the "I See Fire" dance. Overall I liked the choreography from bother performances.

My favorite routine

One routine that I have learned that was my favorite was the one that I learned at dancewave. I learned it last summer during a 2 week course. It was a jazz routine thar was choreographed by this mean-ish teacher from some other country with an accent. She was not even there half the time and we had another teacher when she was not there. Besides this, I like this routine because it was to the song "Falling Slowly" by The Frames. I also liked it because it was different than what I have done. The movement was really flowy but precise at the same time

My dance history

Dancing for me started at age 4. My mother enrolled me in ballet classes at "Some place on South Oxford street and Fort Greene Pl with this teacher named Dana or Dena", she says.
You can probably guess which one is me

Anyways my mom took me out of ballet after 2 months and I started dancing again in school productions when I was 9. I then started taking more dance clases and well, you know the rest.

Matt Steffanina and Willdabeast Adams

If these names don't sound familiar, these are the first choreographers I have ever watched on YouTube. They are also my favorite choreographers. I first watched their videos around January of 2015. I immediately fell in love with their style. Hip Hop was so new to me, so it was really interesting to experience something a little different. There is so much more to them that just being choreographers though. Matt is currently engaged to his assistant Dana Alexa. Will is also engaged/married (I'm not sure because they don't talk about it much) to his assistant Janelle Ginestra. Will has his own dance company and they refer to themselves as beasts and they can be easily recognized if they are wearing a shirt or hat with a tiger claw. The kids in his company call themselves littlebeasts or minibeasts, but dance just as well as the adults. Some of the kids that are in Will's company also go to master classes at IDA Hollywood or Millennium with Matt Steffanina. Matt

was also on the Ellen show with fellow dancer, Taylor Hatala.
